If you want soul food, look no further. Each time I need my soul food fix I ask my husband to order from here. Food is reasonably priced. I love the catfish, mac&cheese and the calabash which is a cabbage/collard green mix (so yummy). My husband loves their oxtails with rice and cabbage. The corn bread is always perfect! The staff is friendly and management is great. They’re a family owned business and I wish they had more locations in the tri-state area but they provide catering so if you’re having an event soon, I’d definitely give them a call. I can’t wait until they reopen for indoor dining.
First time at Soul Food Factory with my family. I had fried chicken, black eyed peas, calabash (braised cabbage and collards), and corn bread. So so tasty. The chicken was crisp and juicy with a light breading with a perfect blend of spices. I've never had calabash before but would definitely order it again! Black eyed peas were good. Make sure you put it over white rice I learned. And the corn bread was buttery and lightly sweetened.
This spot is very nice, with delicious food and friendly service. I had the baked turkey wings with gravy, yellow rice, collared greens, and cornbread with an Uptown drink.
I am so glad I found this place. The food was freshly cooked to perfection. The Ribs, catfish, mac and cheese, collard greens ,cabbage, rice and beans, corn bread and OMG the banana pudding too. We loved it all! Service was top notched. John was so kind to us!! He said all the recipes were from his mother. Love that its family run and she would be so proud. Excellent food and service.
